Looks like we have a leak! This time, it’s of a new bike computer from the Atlanta-based fitness tech company, Wahoo Fitness. The new bike computer–seemingly called the Wahoo Elemnt Ace, appears to be the brand’s “most powerful bike computer” yet.
The product packaging, the main source of these leaks, also highlights several other specifications. The Elemnt Ace is described as Wahoo’s “most powerful bike computer,” with a 3.8-inch next-generation TFT display, which supports touch input and 16 million colors. This is a significant upgrade from Wahoo’s previous models, like the Elemnt Roam V2, which had a smaller screen with only 64 colors.
The leaked images show a 3.8-inch touchscreen, marking the first time Wahoo has included this feature in a bike computer; everything else has been button-driven until this point.
The images also reveal the inclusion of multiple sensors such as a gyroscope, accelerometer, altimeter, and a ‘wind’ sensor, which could allow for advanced aerodynamic drag calculations when combined with data from external sources like a power meter.
The product packaging in these images also highlights several other specifications. The Elemnt Ace is described as Wahoo’s “most powerful bike computer,” with a 3.8-inch next-generation TFT display, which supports touch input and 16 million colors. In comparison, Wahoo’s existing bike computers–the Elemnt Roam and Elemnt Bolt–use smaller screens with only 64 colors.
Despite the larger screen and advanced features, the Elemnt Ace packaging claims over 30 hours of battery life, 64 GB of internal memory, and dual-band GPS. Other features include USB-C charging, an aluminum mount (compared to the plastic ones other Elemnt computers receive) and an audio speaker.
Also found via Reddit user ‘utzachaka’ is a recent FCC filing from what appears to be this same bike computer. The filing seems to show that the Wahoo Elemnt Ace bike computer will have a massive 4350 mAh battery. That’s bigger than the iPhone 16 Pro smartphone, and only a touch smaller than the iPhone 16 Pro Max, per MacRumors.
In comparison, that’s double the 2000 mAh of Wahoo’s Elemnt Roam bike computer, and larger than the third-generation Hammerhead Karoo, which uses a 3200 mAh battery.
If confirmed, this would make the Elemnt Ace the first mainstream bike computer to offer integrated aero measurement capabilities. Factoring in wind speed, altitude, and external data (like power output) may allow riders to test some level of aerodynamics as they ride along.
Whether or not it matches the likes of dedicated aero sensors from the likes of Aerosensor, Gibli, or Body Rocket would be a massive leap forward in performance. As it stands, these devices usually require the use of a Garmin bike computer to gather data. A built-in sensor from Wahoo would make aero testing all the more accessible to the average user, provided the data can be reliable.
There’s no official word yet on the release date or pricing of the Wahoo Elemnt Ace bike computer. Given that packaging and specifications have already surfaced, a formal announcement might not be far off.
We’ve reached out to Wahoo for comment and will update this story accordingly.
